Who didn't love Judy Blume growing up. From the Fudge Books, to Sheila, and even to her later works like "Summer Sisters", I have always been a fan. Recently, I found that I had trouble locating a copy of "Are You There God" after I had this big need to read it the weekend I turned 30. I found this 3-in-1 collection, and I couldn't be happier.

Judy Blume is timeless, and this book is a great find---if you can manage to find it.

This is a simplified version, NOT the original

This is not the version of the book that I read (over and over) as a kid. It is heavily simplified. The back even says "Classics made simpler and sturdier for younger readers". I get the desire to do this, but I was very disappointed not to receive the book I thought I was getting for my friend's daughter. (It doesn't even have a single instance of the repeated "Do you like my hat?" dialogue that made the original version of this book so distinctive in my memory.)

I mainly just wish that it had been possible to tell from the description of the product that this did not contain all of the original text and pictures, so that I would've known to buy a different version.

My kids love learning to read with this book.

This book is a classic. It's a great first reader, with simple and repetitive words. My kids love to read it because they have quick success as they see the same words over and over and think "wow, I can read this". It's also funny with cute pictures and has a good rhythm, which keeps them reading.

I'm a professional dog trainer, certified in dog behavior through International Association Animal Behavior Consultants (iaabc.org). I was also familiar with Roger Mugford. I also use and recommend head collars for owners who may benefit from using head collars on dogs. Roger Mugford invented the Halti collar and now the new Opti-fit, that i also like.

I've read and reviewed most of this book, but recently loaned to a client. I wanted them to review a specific section/chapter. He told me this was the best book he's seen and i've loaned this couple several of my training books, all written based on using positive reinforcement and marker type training methods.

Must read for dog owners

Overall a very good book on dog training. I think Mr. Mugford could have gone into a little more detail on how so use his training techniques. He had some excellent points in the training challenges and canine behavioural therapy sections. I recommend anyone with a dog should take a look at this book.
