Watch out if you want to read this more than a few times

The binding is terrible. After reading it maybe 3 times, the pages are falling out. So disappointed since we had gotten a set of paperback books from the same series and those are all falling apart and I thought the hardcover would hold up better.

Jet Engines are fast...except in this book

I really love discovering the thomas books, and WAAAY before I actually showed the TV program to my son I enjoyed reading him these books, until this one. The editors ( publishers ) chose to pick very poor scenes from the show to illustrate the story, which is primarily about how goofy it is for Thomas to be pushed along the tracks by a JET ENGINE ! I finally saw the episode on TV and it IS very funny, but somehow THIS book does not capture that; i dont reccomend the book, I doo reccomend the telivision program ( British version if you can find it )
